New Year’s Eve in Burnham: Where to celebrate the start of 2012

Revellers in Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge will be able to celebrate the start of 2012 in style with a choice of live entertainment on New Year’s Eve.

Burnham-On-Sea.com highlights some of the main community events:

A charity New Year’s Eve Party in aid of Ovarian, Cervical and Breast Cancer charities will be held at Burnham’s BASC Ground in Stoddens Road from 7.30pm until 1am. Tickets cost £10 to include food and can be bought from the bar at the BASC or by calling 07802 938 433. Addmission will be by ticket only and children will not be admitted.


The annual New Year’s Eve Dance at Highbridge Community Centre in Market Street will be held from 8pm-12.30am. Tickets will be available on the door at £6 each. Revellers are being encouraged to bring their own food and drink.


A New Year’s Eve party will be held at The Ritz Social Club in Burnham’s Victoria Street from 8pm-1am.


Residents of Burnham’s Grove, Malbourough Court and Gardenhurst will be holding a New Year’s Eve Community Party from 8pm at The Avenue Tennis Club. Cocktails and canapés will be available, plus great music throughout the night. Tickets cost £10 for adults while children under 14 are free. Tickets are available from No 14 and No 4 The Grove.


Brean Leisure Park is promising a night of great food and entertainment at its New Year’s Eve party in its RJs entertainment venue. Tickets cost £30 for adults over the age of 16, or £15 for ages five to 15 and £5 for under-fours. Included is a fork buffet, fun and games with prizes on offer, plus a disco.


A night of live music will be offered from local group Vermin at Highbridge Social Club’s New Year’s Eve Party from 7.30pm until late.
