New Year revellers in the Burnham-On-Sea area have celebrated the start of 2012 at events across the area.
Pubs and clubs held a number of events to mark the start of the new year.
Our photos show some of the people who joined in the celebrations at the Royal Artillery in Highbridge, Burnham’s Pier Tavern, S&D and Dunstan pubs.
Local group The Ginger Hitlas played at a sell-out concert in the Dunstan House in Burnham.
A charity New Year’s Eve Party in aid of Ovarian, Cervical and Breast Cancer charities was held at Burnham’s BASC Ground.
The annual New Year’s Eve Dance was held at Highbridge Community Centre in Market Street.
New Year’s Eve parties were also held at The Ritz Social Club in Burnham’s Victoria Street, and at Highbridge Social Club where local rock group Vermin entertained the crowd.
Dozens of residents of Burnham’s Grove, Marlborough Court and Gardenhurst also gathered together for a New Year’s Eve Community Party at Burnham’s Avenue Tennis Club.
