Partygoers in Burnham-On-Sea celebrated the start of 2011 long into the early hours.
Local group The Ginger Hitlas played at a sell-out concert in the Railway Inn in Burnham’s High Street, the final performance for one of its singers, Curly. Over 150 revellers enjoyed a great night of entertainment, which also included local group The Busy Backgrounds.
Karaoke nights were also held at the Somerset and Dorset pub and Old Pier Tavern in the town and a disco and New Year’s Eve party was held at The Ritz Social Club in Victoria Street. Other well-attended events in the area included a charity disco and karaoke at Highbridge Social Club.
