Residents across the Burnham-On-Sea area celebrated the start of 2017 with a night of special New Year’s Eve events.
Around 200 people attended a New Year’s Eve Party at Burnham-On-Sea’s Lakeside Holiday Park where the audience enjoyed a disco leading up to the all-important chimes of Big Ben at midnight.
Burnham’s Ritz Social Club also held a sold-out New Year’s Eve party with live music and entertainment. Revellers at the Windmill Club in Edithmead also enjoyed a great evening of live entertainment and Brean Leisure Park’s Tavern also held a New Year celebration with local band Six Machine playing. Many local pubs in the Burnham area were also busy with good-natured revellers enjoying live music to celebrate New Year.
Residents in Burnham town centre will also have heard the bellringers at St Andrew’s Church ringing in the new year at midnight to mark the start of 2017.
