A new community cafe is set to open in a Highbridge church this month.
Truly Scrumptious Community Cafe is opening from July 15th in the hall of St John’s Church in Church Street, Highbridge.
Run by the Somerset Time For Youth organisation, it will be open three afternoons a week – Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays from 2-4pm.
One of the organisers, Jonathan Smith, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are a friendly and welcoming community cafe, serving teas and coffees and delicious cakes from a local bakery in Highbridge.”
“We are a place where you can relax, spend time and enjoy meeting others, and talking with friends old and new.”
The launch has been partly-funded by a £10,000 grant boost from the National Lottery’s community fund.
