New owners re-open Burnham-On-Sea pub The Old Pier Tavern

A Burnham-On-Sea pub has re-opened with new owners and a modern new interior look.

The Old Pier Tavern in Burnham’s Pier Street opened at the weekend following a refurbishment.

New owners Chad, Paul and Bharti Baron say they have ‘exciting’ plans for the pub, which has a long history in the town centre.

Talking to Burnham-On-Sea.com, Chad said: “The Old Pier has been renovated inside with a modern new look and we plan to bring back some of the popular features.”

“Live music nights are returning, especially at weekends.”

“We’ve also launched a new menu, with freshly cooked local food and themed food nights. Our new all-you-can-eat-breakfasts are sure to be popular and we have freshly cooked carvery lunches on Sundays.”

“There have been lots of positive, encouraging comments so far, and we were really pleased to have 184 people through the door on our opening night on Saturday, which was fantastic.”

Chad added: “A pool table has been installed, so we are hoping to get a new pool league team formed and a darts team too. Anyone who’s interested in joining should pop in and see me.”

The new-look pub also offers new bed and breakfast rooms throughout the year.

A Burnham Chamber of Trade spokesman said: “It’s great to see this town centre pub re-opening again after a period being closed.”

”Burnham has a great range of eating and drinking places. We wish the new owners every success for the future.”
