New Burnham-On-Sea venture invites residents to reminisce over a cuppa

-

St Andrew’s Church is launching a new community venture in Burnham-On-Sea.

Called ‘Reminisce’, the monthly meeting will invite people to come and meet up in a relaxed setting to enjoy vintage film clips of bygone daily life and enjoy reminiscing together.

Reverend Sharon Eldergill told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are excited about this new venture, and look forward to welcoming people in a space to meet with friends old and new.”

“Burnham people have a rich repository of stories, and the film clips jog memories and invite us to share our own memories with each other over a cuppa and biscuits- something that there has not been much opportunity to do over the last 18 months or so.”

“Isolation has had a huge impact on mental health and wellbeing, and we hope that ‘Reminisce’ will be a lovely way to get together in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and enjoy the company of others once more.”

Reminisce takes place in St Andrew’s Church Hall on Tuesday 9th November at 11am, and will be held every second Tuesday of the month thereafter.

It costs just 50p, to include drinks and biscuits, and all are welcome.
