A new garage has opened in Burnham-On-Sea town centre following a £100,000 modernisation project.
Timpsons Garage has opened in South Street, Burnham-On-Sea on the site of the former Diamond Garage which closed many years ago.
The family-run garage is being run by new owner and manager Matt Timpson, pictured, who has led the redevelopment of the property.
Talking to Burnham-On-Sea.com, Matt says: “We are delighted to have opened a modern new garage here after 18 months of work and are offering a friendly, quality service.”
“So many people have been popping in to say they are so pleased to see it open again.”
“We are offering a wide range of services from MOT testing, servicing, repairs, air con, batteries, brakes, clutches and exhausts, wheel alignment.”
Matt, who lives in Burnham, previously ran a successful garage in Keynsham. “I’d been looking for a local site to open a new garage for some time and when I saw this one and visited it I quickly realised its potential as a former garage.”
“It’s a surprisingly large site but has needed a lot of work to transform it.”
The garage is servicing all cars, from modern vehicles to classics, and electric cars. Call 01278 551596. “We are looking forward to welcoming customers,” he adds.
The new garage is holding an open day on Saturday April 26th from 10am-2pm when residents will be able to see the new facilities and find out more while enjoying a free tea or coffees and cake.
