A brand new networking group for professional and business women launched near Burnham-On-Sea on Tuesday (June 25th) with a visit by a TV auctioneer.
Claire Rawle from the BBC’s Flog It! programme, pictured right, was the special guest at the event at The Greenwood in West Huntspill.
Angela De Souza, the founder of the King’s Daughters franchise spoke about the benefits of networking.
Sheila Leahy, the local franchise holder, plans a series of events and speakers for the members with the aim of balancing the business and social aspects of networking.
Tuesday’s event was attended by around 25 local businesswomen. King’s Daughters offer mentoring and training to women in business so that they can have the confidence and skill to be successfully self-employed.
Angela said: “Each event guarantees business growth tools, great food, networking, fun, laughter and great brain storming sessions.”
