Burnham-On-Sea’s Neighbourhood Planning team are set to kick off the next phase of the project’s consultation process this week with a new topic group focusing on housing.
The first scoping meeting will be held at Burnham-On-Sea Community Centre in Berrow Road at 7pm on Tuesday evening (April 14th).
Topic group co-ordinator Bev Milner Simonds said: “The provision of the right sort of housing, of the right size, in the right places is vital in our local area.”
“We have a diverse mix of residents and the needs of the local housing list is far from being met. Locally we have social housing, mortgaged properties, private landlords, park homes and home owners – is it important that all these views are heard.”
This initial scoping meeting is open to residents, landlords, financial advisors, housing associations and anyone else with a view about housing locally.
