Brean Down features on National Trust’s new-look promotional vans

-

Brean Down has been chosen as one of the scenic locations to feature on the National Trust’s new fleet of promotional vehicles.

An artist has hand-painted three vans with scenes from across Somerset to highlight the wide range of places cared for by the National Trust.

The scenes include Brean Down, Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury Tor and Horner Woods in Exmoor.

The vans each depict different an area of the county and will be used by the Trust’s staff to act as information points and to recruit new members.

“We wanted to show people the wide variety of work that the Trust does in looking after Somerset and the many different places that we care for,” Rowena Nokes, commercial manager for the Trust in Somerset, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“The Trust gets well known for its country houses but there is such a lot that the outdoors can offer here right here on our doorstep and we wanted to highlight some of it.”

The vans have been painted by Rob Trinick from Nailsea who had recently finished a graphic design degree at Loughborough University. Each took him three days to painstakingly recreate scenes from across the county as well as depicting some of the activities including walking, cycling and camping.
