A kiting festival is set to be held on Brean Beach today (Sunday, September 27th).
Families are being enouraged to head to the sands next to Brean Down where the festival is being organised by the National Trust.
It will run through the day from 10am-4pm with advice available from enthusiasts about how to get the best flight out of your kite.
“We hope lots of people will come down and celebrate this wonderful past time on the beach at Brean Down,” said a spokeswoman from the National Trust.
“Enjoy flying tips from kite enthusiasts and bring your own kite to help paint the sky with colour.”
“The event is free and there is no need to book – just turn up on the day and don’t forget your kite!”
