The National Trust has introduced a new parking system at Brean Down in time for the start of the Easter holiday season.
New electronic barriers, cameras and payment machines have been unveiled in a major upgrade at the popular beauty spot.
A National Trust spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We have installed a new parking system at Brean Down which we hope will provide a smoother experience for our visitors.”
“There has been no change to the car parking charge – which is £6 – and it’s still free for National Trust members.”
He adds: “Work is also continuing on a new welcome building which we’re looking forward to opening later this spring.”
”It will be a place where visitors can chat to our team about what there is to see and do at Brean Down, borrow items such as our activity backpacks for children and hire one of our Tramper mobility scooters.”
