Burnham-On-Sea’s St Andrews Church is to hold a special ‘Magic of The Musicals’ concert this month.
The St Andrew’s Church Social Committee and the M5 Theatre Company are organising the event at 7.30pm on Saturday 28th July.
The M5 Theatre Company consists of singers from local areas including Louisa Arthur, Francesca Bowkett, Tom Creswick, Jackie Hart and Claire Hunter from Burnham-On-Sea and others from Weston.
Tickets for the concert are available from The Crafty Teacup Cafe and Burnham’s seafront tourist information centre at £10 to include wine and nibbles.
The award-winning director of the M5 Theatre Company is Owen James, well known in the area for his shows with Weston, Worle and Tickenham Operatic companies.
Proceeds from the concert will go towards St Andrews Church and also a production of The Sound of Music to be held at The Princess Theatre on August 7-11th, 2019.
Francesca is currently singing Madam Lucia in Cavelleria Rusticana with Wedmore Opera this week and has sung principal roles in many productions with Weston Operatic, Wedmore Opera, Somerset Opera and fifteen years as Soloist with Military Bands at The Concert of Remembrance at The Colston Hall and Oratorio and concerts around the West Country.
The other singers have taken principal roles with local operatic companies including Worle, Weston , Wedmore and Somerset Opera.
