Highbridge’s Music On The Green strikes a chord with crowds

-

Dozens of people flocked to Highbridge’s town green for an afternoon of live music on Sunday (August 12th).

‘Music on the Green’ included a line-up of performers including acoustic artist Nicky Swann, who won ‘Best Acoustic Act’ at the South West Music Awards, Bruce Hudson and The Scratch Band.

Organiser Mike Murphy told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We had 60 seats set up on the green and all were quickly occupied. This is a nice venue for a concert and we intend to hold more events here in the future.”

Sunday’s concert – previewed here – was held on Highbridge’s Town Green, next to the community centre, and was overseen by CADS, the Burnham and Highbridge Cultural Arts and Development Society, which holds several free events a year in the two towns.
