An afternoon of great live music is set to be performed in Highbridge today (Sunday, August 6th).
‘Music at the Rec’ will be staged in the town’s Southwell Gardens next to the recreation ground from 12.30pm to 5.15pm, as pictured below last year.
The organisers at CADS, the Burnham and Highbridge Cultural Arts and Development Society, say the event is one of the highlights of its 20th season of local performances.
“It will feature local group Drop the Mic, the stunning duo Emanim featuring the fab of voice of Emily, followed by Priddy Festival favourites the Six Five Specials with their special fun music, and the event will be headlined this year by Bouncing Biscuit so expect a great finish!” said organiser Mike Murphy.
“This is a very unusual and happy mix of great performers and a possible surprise!”
There will be a real ale cider and soft drinks bar, burgers, teas and coffees, ices, henna, a kidzone with face painting and hair braiding and a bouncy castle – all in the Southwell gardens with free parking in the Bank Street car park.
