A Burnham-On-Sea man accused of murdering his former partner has denied the charge.
Owen Pellow, 42, of Berrow Road was charged with murder after his former partner, Lisa Marie Thornton, 36, was found dead at a property in Berrow Road on November 23rd last year.
A post mortem confirmed that she died of multiple stab wounds during the incident.
Pellow appeared at Bristol Crown Court on Friday (January 12th) via video link from HMP Bristol and pleaded not guilty to murder. He will remain in custody until his trial on May 21st.
Police were initially called to the property – next to the Co-Op store in Berrow Road – just after 7.30am on November 23rd.
The Great Western Air Ambulance, pictured below, was seen landing at the nearby Burnham and Berrow golf course, but sadly took off without a casualty.
A Police spokesman said that efforts were made to revive Lisa but sadly she died at about 8.15am.
