Burnham-On-Sea’s MP, David Heathcoat-Amory, met with staff and pupils during a special visit to Lympsham First School.
During his visit, the MP visited several classrooms and saw pupils taking part in a ‘Wake and Shake’ morning exercise programme.
Mr Heathcoat-Amory said: “I was delighted to be able to visit Lympsham School again.”
“There is an aura of warmth and friendliness that greets people on entering the building. The new classroom has blended in very sympathetically with the old building, whilst having all the advantages of modern day technology.”
He added that the school motto, ‘working together to impact on learning’, was evident throughout his visit. Headteacher Julie Larter told Mr Heathcoat-Amory: “Parents are advised that in order to learn, children need to be happy. We urge parents to contact us as soon as they feel any anxiety about their child at school. The children are encouraged to achieve their highest potential by our team of caring dedicated staff.”
