Burnham-On-Sea’s MP claimed £2.69 for a pack of slug pellets, according to the latest set of parliamentary expenses released on Thursday (December 10th).
According to the expense claims published here on the Parliament website, David Heathcoat-Amory submitted an invoice, dated 30 April 2008, for several gardening items that included £1.69 for twine and £2.69 for slug pellets.
A further expenses claim appears to have been made on 31st July 2008 for £6.99 for a tub of Miracle Grow and a further £2.69 for slug pellets. Such claims are within the rules laid down by parliament.
Mr Heathcoat-Amory’s latest expense claims were named on a list of “Top 10 MPs’ Gardening Expenses Claims” by gardening magazine Horticultural Week here.
