Long-serving Burnham-On-Sea MP marks his 25th year in the job

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s MP, David Heathcoat-Amory, said he has no intention of stepping down from his job any time soon as he marked his 25th year in the role on Monday (June 9th).

His remarks came at a Conservative group meeting, 25 years to the day since he became MP for the Wells Constituency.

He said: “I was elected MP for the Wells Constituency on June 9th 1983. Twenty five years is another milestone but definitely not the finishing post. I have enjoyed it all and if the electorate agree I hope to continue for a good while yet.”

“I have served under two Conservative Prime Ministers and look forward to serving under David Cameron.”
