A Brent Knoll author has just published a brand new book about the great musical composer Mozart.
Retired primary school headteacher Brian Freestone has written the 300 page book called ‘A Mozart Jigsaw’.
This book focuses on Brian’s continued fascination with work of this great composer.
Brian told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It is an imaginative work, part serious, part humorous, written from many viewpoints and shows Mozart through the eyes of some of the people he met in his short life; some with humour, some with jealousy, some with kindness, some with envy, many with admiration.”
The entertaining book contains stories, accounts, radio plays and diary extracts which illustrate Mozart’s enthusiasms, his foibles, his quirkiness and his genius.
Copies of the book, priced £10, can be obtained from Llanerch Publishers at 48 Rectory Road in Burnham-On-Sea or from Brian’s home at 135 Brent Street in Brent Knoll. There will also be a book launch at his home on Sunday 28th April at 12 noon.
Brian also wrote ‘Cricket in the Shadows,’ (1999) which was featured as one of the Times newspaper’s cricket books of that year. A revised edition of this book is soon to be published, also by Llanerch Publishers.
