A motorcyclist sadly died in an accident with a van on a country lane near Highbridge on Thursday (April 26th).
The motorbike and vehicle collided in Burnham Moor Lane shortly before 3pm, said Police.
Spokesman Sam Malone told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We were called to Burnham Moor Lane at 2.50pm following a collision between a motorcycle and van.”
“The motorcyclist has sadly died at the scene from his injuries.”
“The road was closed while officers carried out enquiries at the scene.”
Police have appealed to anyone who saw the collision to contact them on 101, providing the call handler with log number 627 of today (April 26).
Burnham Moor Lane – which runs between Edithmead at the junction with the A38 through to Watchfield – was closed while Police start their investigation.
