New date for guided moth and bat walk at Highbridge’s Apex Park

-

The date of a free guided bat and moth walk around Highbridge’s Apex Park has been changed to Friday June 2nd.

The walk around the award-winning park will focus on the wide range of nocturnal wildlife throughout the park, particularly bats and moths.

The walk on Friday, June 2nd at 9pm will be led by the expert Pete Grainger, Sedgemoor District Council’s Ecologist.

“The walk will take place over mostly level ground but walkers are advised to wear suitable footwear and warm clothing,” said a spokesperson.

The walk will start at the Apex Park Information Centre (near the toilet block) in the main Apex car park which is just off Marine Drive. Visitor parking is free in this car park.

Numerous events are held in Apex Park each year. To find out more about future events please check the event listings displayed in notice boards in the park or email community.services@sedgemoor.gov.uk
