Burnham supermarket removes trolley locks to speed up shopping trips

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s Morrisons store is to remove all trolley locks at its Pier Street store in response to customer requests for quicker and easier shopping trips.

All the store’s trolley fixtures are being altered, removing the need to insert a £1 coin to release a trolley from its bay.

Steve Concannon, the store’s General Manager, said: “Customers in Burnham-On-Sea have told us that they want a quicker shop.”

“The removal of trolley locks is just one of the many improvements we are making to our store – to make for a faster and easier shopping trip.”

Morrisons is removing trolley locks across all its stores nationwide, with 150,000 locks being removed from its stores during July.
