Brent Knoll’s Chalice Morris Men are holding an Open Evening tonight (Thursday, October 4th) when potential new members will be welcomed.
The event will be held from 8pm at Brent Knoll Parish Hall.
“The team is thriving with a wide age range of membership but like all clubs is looking to the future to expand and to spread English folk music and dance,” said the club’s Neil Gratton.
“We are your local Morris team based in Brent Knoll but dancing all over the area – probably near to where you are.”
“Chalice have just completed yet another successful summer dance season which saw them dancing from Weston to Bridgwater and Wedmore to Burnham as well as trips to Thaxted in Essex and Saddleworth in Greater Manchester. Now we are starting our winter practice season at Brent Knoll Parish Hall.”
“Why not come along and have a go? All ages are welcome but children must be accompanied by an adult. Please do not feel that you need be an accomplished dancer since full tuition will be provided.”
“Musicians are always welcome to add to our Walls of Sound, bring your instrument. If you cannot make the evening but are interested then just come most Thursday evenings.”
