Chalice Morris Men perform in Burnham’s Marine Cove gardens
Burnham-On-Sea’s Marine Cove Gardens played host to a special performance by a group of Morris Men on Thursday evening (August 13th).
The Chalice Morris Men, based in Brent Knoll, performed a display of their traditional music and dancing in the seafront gardens in front of holidaymakers and residents.
Bob Cross, Bagman of the team, said: “Chalice always enjoy their annual visit to the Marine Cove as part of our annual summer programme of dancing. We always get a good an appreciative audience.”
“Chalice have now been dancing for well over 40 years in the Burnham area and want to keep the tradition alive for another 40 at least,” he said.
The group will be back in action in Burnham during the town’s annual FolkFest, which is coming up from September 3rd-6th.
