The demolition of Highbridge’s Morland Industrial Park has been completed this week to make way for dozens of new homes.
The site has been bulldozed since the start of the year after the final companies operating at the park left last November.
Sedgemoor District Council approved the re-development in 2013, allowing 62 affordable homes.
Work is now due to start shortly on constructing two four-bedroom properties, 27 three-bedroom properties, 27 two-bedroom properties and 6 one-bedroom properties.
Morland Social Club also closed its doors last year and it’s expected that it will re-open at a new site in the future.
