Burnham-On-Sea Moose International Lodge’s members donned fancy dress for a special party at the weekend.
The theme for the group’s annual governor’s party was ‘childrens stories’ – and many members got into the spirit of the occasion by attending in colourful kids-themed costumes, as pictured here.
This year’s party was raising funds for Governor Jim Dolan’s charity ‘Cots for Tots’ and Lady President Pat Burge’s chosen charity ‘Weston Hospital scanner appeal’.
To add to the atmosphere, the ladies catering team served bangers and beans, plus other favourite kids foods.
Co-organiser Governor Jim Dolan said: “We had a brilliant night’s entertainment provided by Moose member Nick, who was dressed as a Teletubby and supplied the disco, while the ladies members worked hard in the kitchen to produce a buffet supper.”
“Activities during the evening included a monster quiz, a guess the baby Moose member photograph, and a costume parade.”

The Lodge meets on the fourth Thursday of each calender month, at 7.30pm, at Burnham Community Centre, and we believe in having fun whilst raising money for our numerous charities.
Our ladies circle meet on the same evening as the brothers, also at the Community Centre, and independently support national and local causes in their own right.
