Hundreds raised for local good causes at Burnham group’s harvest supper

-

More than £300 was raised for local charities when members of Burnham-On-Sea’s Moose International Ladies Circle Lodge held their annual Harvest Supper on Saturday (September 27th).

A large number of members attended the popular annual event which was held in Berrow Village Hall.

“It was a fun event enjoyed by all with a wonderful meal put together and served by the ladies,” a spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“The usual Moose raffle was held and an auction of home grown produce was given by Moose Brothers Terry Cornelius and John Cuff.”

“Mr John Barkle provided the entertainment by giving an amusing talk on his past family business Barkles Grocery Shop.”

The ladies guest for the evening was Mrs Judy Ware, National Lady President. Ladies Circle member Pam Wright presented her with a basket of flowers at the end of the evening (as pictured).

The evening raised over £300 for local charities.
