Thousands awarded to good causes by Burnham Moose Lodge

Thousands of pounds has been presented to local groups at the latest Burnham Moose Lodge meeting.

A whopping total of £6,272.94 to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance plus £1,470.71 to the Alzheimer’s charity, plus various other local community groups.

During the meeting, Laurie Lillycrop and Dot Anderson handed the Lodge’s national charity money to Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance fundraisers Colin Thomas and Anita Townsend, pictured top.

Past Governor Mike Lang and Lady President Doreen Atyeo presented their combined personal charity funds to the Alzheimer’s charity representative Paul King, pictured above.

Valerie Wills presented £100 to the Jordan fund representative Gaynor Wright. while Barbara Thorogood handed £100 to the Gateway Club, accepted by Ashley New, pictured right.

Yvonne Cornelius presented a cheque to Bernard Spilsbury from the Friends of Burnham Hospital, and Sue Loxton presented £100 to Burnham Sea Cadets’ Cadet Melanie Severe and SCC chair Michael Jackson.

Moose Governor Ron Fisher presented 25-year certificates to Alan Petoud and Peter Dickenson.
