Burnham-On-Sea group hands over £7,000 to two charities

-

Members of Burnham-On-Sea’s Moose International Lodge Ladies Circle have this week handed over almost £7,000 to two charities following a busy year of fundraising.

The ladies held a series of coffee mornings, teas, sales and supermarket collections to raise the cash.

On Thursday evening (March 24th), £3,823.24 was presented to Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and £2864.16 to Childrens’ Hospice South West, plus a further small donation to The Jordan Trust Fund.

Lady President Dot Anderson, who is now in Australia ahead of her charity parachute jump, said: “The Ladies have worked really hard and I am proud of them.”

The Moose Lodge’s mens group will also be holding a charity payout at their April meeting.
