Burnham-On-Sea’s Mono’s cafe has shut down and a new Chinese restaurant is to open in its place.
The cafe in College Street closed down on Bank Holiday Monday for the final time.
Speaking to Burnham-On-Sea.com, owner Holly Jackson explained why the “very regrettable” decision had been taken.
“Trade has been good, but I have been offered a new opportunity with better pay elsewhere. I’m really sad to be closing. I will miss our wonderful customers.”
“I thank all our customers for their support – I have built up many new friendships with our loyal customers and will miss them all.”
She added that the owners of Dragon Rise Chinese restaurant on Burnham seafront are taking on the premises for a new venture.
