This was the fearsome sight that met a kite surfer on Burnham-On-Sea’s beach over the weekend.
The creature was washed up on the high tide line near the town’s lighthouse just as a group of kite surfers was setting off into the sea.
“It was found when one of the kiters was heading out to kite. It is one mean looking fish!” one of the group told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
But despite its menacing appearance, the fish is believed to be a harmless monkfish, which are known for their toothy features.
