Seven members of Burnham-On-Sea’s Monarchs Gymnastics Club have returned from a top regional competition with a haul of medals.
The group qualified to represent the South West Team in the Inter-Regional Team Competition in March.
Natalie Hughes, Leonie Wurbarton and Emily-Kay Smith formed the Woman’s Trio in the Prep B section and competed against nine other partnerships during the event in Southampton.
They were delighted to win silver medals after a perfect routine to be proud of.
Conor McKenna and Charlie Dymond just missed out on winning Bronze and came fourth in the finals in Grade 1 Men’s Pairs, while Jacob Baker and Joseph Reed came fifth overall in the finals in Prep B Men’s Pairs. The South West Team won the Bronze Shield for coming third overall.
