A new shop selling radio controlled models and accessories has opened in Burnham-On-Sea town centre this month.
G&A Models, selling a wide range of model boats, planes, cars and related kit, has launched in Abingdon Street and is run by father and son Austin and Gary Baker.
Austin, pictured, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We’ve always had an interest in radio controlled models and when Gary launched a local club last year, the Burnham Indoor Oval Racing Club, we quickly found there are no suppliers of the modelling bits and equipment in our area.”
“There’s quite a following locally, with lots of interest in the model racing events, so our new shop is filling a gap in the market.”
The shop, which is located opposite Nick Tolley Photography, is also planning to organise a seafront event in Burnham later this year to display some of the models.
