Burnham-On-Sea was shrouded in thick fog and sea mist on Thursday (April 19th) while much of the rest of the country enjoyed the hottest April day for over 70 years.
These photos show the sea mist and thick fog rolling in during the day, reducing visibility and also forcing down temperatures.
The maximum temperature in Burnham-On-Sea on Thursday was 18.2°C at 10am – far lower than the 22.3°C experienced in the town on Wednesday.
After an overcast morning today (Friday), the sun is forecaast to return this afternoon and the temperatures will peak at around 13°C.
But the Burnham-On-Sea weather forecast shows the warmer weather is set to return on Saturday, with temperatures shooting back up to 22°C.
