A minute’s silence was held at Burnham-On-Sea lifeboat station on Thursday afternoon (September 3rd) in memory of rescuers who have lost their lives at sea.
At 12.20pm, a one-minute silence was observed by lifeboat crews and supporters across the country and flags also flew at half-mast.
It came as the Duke of Kent unveiled a national memorial dedicated to those lost whilst saving lives at sea at the RNLI HQ in Poole, Dorset.
Our photo shows representatives from the Burnham lifeboat team observing the silence.
