He got a shock when his Mini came to a shuddering halt after a whole front wheel fell off.
The motorist, who asked to remain anonymous, told Burnham-On-Sea.com he was “stunned” by the incident, which occurred in front of bemused regulars at Chaplins Bar on The Esplanade.
“There was no warning of a problem and the car’s in fairly good condition – it’s the last thing you expect to happen!” he said. The car was later taken away by a vehicle recovery team.
