An afternoon of Minecraft-themed family fun will be held in Burnham-On-Sea this Saturday (26th September).
The Burnham-On-Sea Scout Hut at the BASC ground in Stoddens Road will play host to Minestars.
Organiser James Panter, right, says: “We will be providing computers so the kids can play together in challenges set in the world of Minecraft in a safe environment connected locally without playing online.”
“There will be the chance to win vouchers for video game retailer Game by taking part in a build battle tournament, maze escape and scavenger hunt multi-player games. There will even be the chance for the grown-ups to have their own Minecraft experience.”
“In addition to this we will be having a Minecraft themed fancy dress contest so come along in an outfit based on the game and you could be a winner.”
“It’s not just about the computers though, there will also be four different craft activities including sword and mask making. Plus you can have your face painted as a character from the video game.”
The afternoon starts at 12noon and runs until 4pm and admission is £4 per child or £10 for a group of three with adults going free.
All the activities are free after admission and children must be accompanied. To register to take part in the BUILD BATTLE tournament for kids aged between 5 and 12 email minestarsplayer@gmail.com
