Dairy farmers from across the Burnham-On-Sea area joined hundreds of farmers for a protest over falling milk prices last night (Wednesday).
Farmers For Action, which organised the protest, said that 600-700 farmers had blockaded the Morrisons depot at Dunball.
They said that 47 tractors and two foragers were picketing the depot, which is a well-known landmark beside the A38 and M5.
It comes as farmers across the country say they are increasingly concerned about the recent fall in milk prices.
Prices have been cut by all the processors in recent months, some by as much as six pence per litre since April, blaming global oversupply and falling world prices.
Farmers For Action dismisses the influence of global prices and favours cutting production to increase prices.
