An exhibition of original watercolours and acrylics by local artist Michael Squire has this week opened at a Burnham-On-Sea art gallery.
The display of colourful images from across the West Country is on show at Sea Breeze in Victoria Street until May 30th.
“Michael is a self-taught artist whose love of the countryside is reflected in his paintings,” Vicky Mills of Sea Breeze told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“Although he started with oils, he soon moved on to watercolours as he enjoys the freshness of the medium.”
“Having started painting 25 years ago, he has since taught others and this is his 21st exhibition in Burnham-On-Sea. Michael has also exhibited in Windsor, Eton, Bridgwater and the Westminster Galleries in London and is a member of the Society for All Artists.”
Sea Breeze is located opposite the Ritz Cinema in Victoria Street. Opening hours are 10am-5.30pm Monday to Friday, except Wednesday (early closing at 2pm), with Saturdays 10am until between 3pm and 5pm. More details on 01278 783276.
