Glastonbury Festival boss Michael Eavis was spotted enjoying a walk along Burnham-On-Sea seafront last night (Wednesday) as he made the most of a ‘fallow year’ for the festival.
The world’s biggest outdoor music festival would usually be taking place this week, but instead the Pilton farm is being given a year to recover – and Michael took advantage of his free time by heading into Burnham.
“I’m enjoying the chance to do some things I wouldn’t usually be able to do this week,” he told Burnham-On-Sea.com on the North Esplanade.
“I’ve had a wonderful walk out to the lighthouse along the beach – I love Burnham,” he told us.
In 2013, Mr Eavis told a national newspaper interview that Burnham is his favourite place in Somerset, as we reported here. He praised the town for being “laid back and unspoilt.”
