A keen young footballer from Burnham-On-Sea has been selected for the South West Centre of Excellence, which is just one step away from a full England placing.
We first featured Megan Robinson here back in 2009 when she gained a place at Somerset Football Association’s Centre of Excellence.
The 13 year-old has played at the center for six seasons, taking part in hundreds of games and scoring against teams including Arsenal and Chelsea
ladies.
She was recently nominated by the Somerset Centre to attend trials at Kings College where she competed against 22 of the best players from all over the South West.
There, she was selected to represent the South West Centre of Excellence, which is one step away from a full England placing.
She will attend five weekend camps with FA England coaches with games against Aston Villa, West Brom, Stoke, Birmingham & Bristol and is now seen as being in the top 16 u15’s girls footballers in the south west of England. Megan also plays for Yeovil Town’s under 15 girls squad.
