Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge’s Mayor is to hold a special fundraising evening this evening (Saturday, February 24th) for his charity of the year, Somerset Time for Youth, to help them raise funds for a much-needed new minibus.
And the event has got star backing as BT Sport TV presenters Kelvin Tatum and Nigel Pearson, pictured above with the Hancock family, have donated a signed photo of darts star Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor for the night’s auction.
Dozens of people are expected to attend the fundraiser this Saturday at 7.30pm at The Oaktree – and a few final tickets are remaining.
Somerset Time For Youth offers social and leisure activities for local special needs youngsters aged 0-18 across the Burnham-On-Sea area and they are currently fundraising for a fully accessible minibus.
The evening will include a local history slide show by John Strickland, live music by Mono Play, and an auction led by Tamlyns’ Ian Walker.
Other the auction items are various family days out, golf days, signed pictures, memberships, event tickets and more. There will also be a huge raffle.

Cllr Hancock named the group as his official charity of 2018 and has made helping local youth groups one of his key priorities of the year.
