Burnham-On-Sea Mayor announces his official cadet and chaplain

Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge’s Mayor Michael Clarke announced his offical cadet and chaplain for the coming year on Monday evening (June 6th).

Corey Hayes, 16, becomes the official Mayor’s Cadet while Paul Kingdom, curate of St Andrew’s Church, was named the Mayor’s Chaplain.

Corey, a Burnham Sea Cadet, told Burnham-On-Sea.com he was “delighted and honoured” to have been chosen.

And Paul added: “It is a great honour to be picked – I’m very pleased that the Mayor has turned to St Andrew’s this year.”

Cllr Clarke announced at Monday’s town council meeting that the annual Burnham and Highbridge Civic Service will this year be held at St Andrew’s Church on Sunday August 14th at 3pm.
