Burnham-On-Sea’s Mayor has this week announced that two local good causes will be his charities of the year.
BARB, the organisation that runs the town’s rescue hovercrafts, and The Friends of Burnham Hospital will both benefit from a series of events organised by Mayor Michael Clarke and Mayoress Maria Clarke.
“They are both very good local groups whom we hope to raise a good sum for over the coming year,” he told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
He added that a music concert is being planned for later this year, in addition to several other fundraisers.
