Burnham-On-Sea fashion student Matthew Bowkett, who starred in Sky One’s Project Catwalk TV show, has received a £5,000 financial boost from one of the fashion industry’s top names.
Harold Tillman, owner and chairman of clothing firm Jaeger, has offered the two runners up of Sky One’s Project Catwalk TV show an internship.
Tillman has awarded Debi Walker and Matthew Bowkett £5,000 each towards further study, an internship at Jaeger, and the benefit of his own mentorship.
“Britain boasts some of the world’s best fashion talent in the world and I don’t want the brightest fashion students held back from making an exceptional contribution to the industry,” said Tillman, who recently set up a £1 million scholarship for students at the London College of Fashion.
“I am delighted that my sponsorship and support of Project Catwalk will help two outstanding individuals progress in their careers in fashion.”
