Delighted Burnham-On-Sea shop owners John and Katharine Edwards are celebrating this week after scooping THREE top awards in a national competition for the second year running.
Material Needs in Burnham High Street has been voted ‘Stitching Retailer Of The Year’ for the whole UK, plus ‘South West Stitching Retailer Of The Year’ and ‘South West Knitting Retailer Of The Year’ at a top trade event in Birmingham.
The couple told Burnham-On-Sea.com they were “stunned and honoured” to have won the three awards for a second year running at the 2010 Origin Craft Awards ceremony, held at the NEC in Birmingham on Sunday (February 21st) in front of an audience of over 500 people.
John said: “We are very proud that Material Needs has been recognised by these awards for a second year running.”
“In the case of the top Stitching Retailer Award for the South West, we have won this for four years running since 2007.”
“These awards mean a great deal to us and to our staff and we hope for Burnham-On-Sea and Somerset. A big thank you goes to all those supporters who voted for us. We are very grateful and honoured.”
