‘Fred the Red’, the official club mascot of Manchester United, will dropping in to Burnham-On-Sea later this month during a tour of Somerset.

The mascot will appear on Friday 30th October at Britannia Building Society’s branch in College Street, Burnham between 10am and 3.30pm during the half-term school holidays.

He will be available to have his photo taken with young fans and there will also be a chance to win signed Manchester United memorabilia.

Philippa White, manager of Britannia’s Burnham branch, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We’re delighted to welcome Fred as guest of honour for our football themed fun-day.”

“Supporters have the opportunity to meet and have their photo taken with the mascot.”

“The Britannia team will also be available to talk about our exclusive range of Manchester United savings accounts and mortgages.”

The mascot will also call into three other Britannia branches in the county to meet staff, customers and supporters. Others include Street on 27th October, Bridgwater on Wednesday 28th October, and Yeovil on Thursday 29th October.
