Burnham-On-Sea marshalling training course set to be held in town

-

A marshalling course is set to be held in Burnham-On-Sea next month for helpers of local events.

Local community group BOS Events has been given a grant by Burnham and Highbridge Town Council to organise the course.

It is open for any group to put forward candidates or individuals who would like to volunteer to help by marshalling at town events through the year.

The course will be held at the Royal British Legion HQ in Victoria Street from 10am to 5pm on Sunday 12th April.

“Lunch will be provided and candidates will receive a certificate from an acredited training company to prove they have taken part,” said the group’s Gaynor Brown.

“Our carnival obviously has the largest requirement for marshals but volunteers are needed for the Hospital Fete, the Park Run, The Medieval Tournament, Youth Day and many others.”

The cost is £10 per person. To book a place, email info@boshevents.org.uk or call Gaynor on 01278 238714.

The BOS Events community stall at Burnham’s next Farmer’s Market on Friday March 27th will also be recruiting volunteers when helpers are welcome to come along and find out more.
